Terms and Conditions

CURRENCY:
On St.Maarten Dutch side the official currency for these rates is U.S. Dollars.
On St.Martin French side the official currency for these rates is Euro €

RESERVATION:
To qualify for these special rates, a reservation must be placed with Onestop at least 72 hours prior to departure from home country.

RENTAL PERIOD:
The minimum charge period is 3 days.

MINIMUM/MAXIMUM AGE:
21/None. Drivers under 25 years (21-24) will be charged a fee of US$ / € 6.00 per day (Maximum Charge 10 days).

STANDARD QUALIFICATION:
Avis and Avis licensees reserve the right to refuse any request for rental including requests for persons under age, persons not in possession of a recognized full and valid driver's license, persons unable to satisfy credit or cash requirements, or persons who, in the opinion of Avis, constitute a risk.

MILEAGE/KMS CHARGE:
Rates shown include unlimited free miles/kilometers.

RENTER'S LIABILITY:
Rental rates include automobile liability insurance in accordance with applicable law and terms of the rental agreement.

DISCOUNTS:
No discounts or other promotions apply.

RATE POLICY:
This special Onestop Rate is not transferable.

PREPAYMENT METHODS:
The rental charges must be prepaid prior to departure, using an Avis or Avis accepted travel voucher. FINAL SETTLEMENT METHODS:
An Avis honored credit card will be required at time of check-out for any other charges not included in the prepaid voucher, e.g., gasoline, Loss Damage Waiver, Personal Accident Insurance, one way service fees, insurance deductible and taxes.

DRIVING LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:
Valid driver license from country of origin.

PARTICIPATING LOCATIONS:
All Avis locations in St.Maarten and St. Martin.

ADDITIONAL CHARGES
Rates Do Not Include the Following:

LOSS DAMAGE WAIVER (LDW):
In the event of loss or damages to the Avis car, the renter will be required to pay all cost toward the repair of the vehicle. This requirement will be partially waived to a deductible of US$ / € 500.00 for all groups, if the renter elects to purchase the Loss Damage Waiver. The renter will be responsible for the full cost of the damage if the car is driven in violation of the rental agreement, is abused or driven recklessly or while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

PERSONAL ACCIDENT INSURANCE (PAI):
Provides accidental death and medical expense benefits to the renter and all passengers in the Avis car.

ADDITIONAL DRIVER(S):
US$ / € 6.00 per person, per day (Maximum Ccharge 10 days). All additional drivers have to be registered at time of rental and must meet Avis qualification standards.

REFUELING SERVICE:
A refueling service charge will be incurred if a car is returned with less fuel than when rented.

ONE-WAY RENTAL POLICY:
One way rentals are allowed between Avis locations (on request) for a nominal fee. Cars are not allowed outside of St.Maarten/St. Martin.

TAX:
Dutch Side - 8%; French Side - 5%.

AIRPORT SURCHARGE:
St.Maarten US$ 8.00 per rental. / St.Martin € 5.00 per rental

CAR TYPES:
Car types are given as examples. We reserve the right to vary type of car without notice but will make every effort to honor specific car model requests.

Onestop Vacation Accommodations assumes no responsibility for the products and services provided by Avis Car Rental St. Maarten. The written car rental agreement between Avis Car Rental St. Maarten and the tour participant shall constitute the sole contract between both parties. Avis - SXM requires all drivers to be of 21 years of age, licensed and listed on the contract. Contract drivers must have a valid major non-debit credit card to pay the balance of amount due on the island.
