Nightlife in St. Martin/ St. Maarten offers something for everyone and it lives up to its reputation
(especially during the winter months)as a party island.

Start your evening at any of the many hotels and bars offering happy hour,
enjoy a leisurely gourmet dinner, take a sunset cruise, dance the night away to the beat of local socca and reggae groups in popular night clubs, see a show or try your luck at a casino.
Clubs get going about 12 midnight and go to the early morning hours.
Visitor guide books are readily available at each resort with full information and recommendations for a night on the town.

  • Axium Cafe (Philipsburg): A bar and 1960s-style coffee shop on Front Street, offers cultural activities as well as live jazz and reggae. Open daily, 11:30 AM til the bartender goes home.
  • Bamboo Bernies (Philipsburg): In the Beach Plaza Casino.
  • Bliss (Simpson Bay): In the Carvanserai...near the airport. Techno.
  • Cheri's Cafe (Simpson's Bay): On Airport Rd. across from the Mayo Beach Resort and Casino. Live entertainment.
  • Soprano's Piano Bar (Maho): In Maho Beach Resort. Piano player starts at 8 p.m.
  • Sunset Beach Bar (Simpson Bay): Right under the airport runway. Live music Wed. to Sun. Party on Friar's Beach every Tuesday. Enjoy the moonlight bonfire, food, drinks, and live band playing 70s-to-present tunes until midnight.
